First I read this....And a WIP taboot.....I almost googled to find out what that meant. Then the 4 watt bulb light up. Fun again watching the old man get more energetic.. Do you think he can hula-hoop?

Houston....we have lift-off.....lol Granted he's pretty spry, but not spry enough to get his legs as high and tight as the young ladies I did. You know, arthritic knees and hips combined with quick twitch muscles that aren't as quick as they once were. I was afraid if he got them bent that much, he might not get them back down in time.....heh heh heh Although I am now wondering how that would look animated. Instead of landing in an upright position, he have to land in a crouched one. I am thinking of a cane in one hand. I wonder which hip is the worst one.

Who says it doesn't pay to talk to yourself. After I said that aboutlanding in a crouch that made lots more sense.....especially since that's the area I wasn't comfortable with in the jumping animations. I removed the upright positions after the jump. I like it much better.

A little more tinkering. I added and adjust another frame on the drop. I also changed the heads on have of the frames. Since I had mirrored the positions for some of the frames, I removed the mirrored heads and replaced them with the unmirrored version. On the tube itself, I duplicated and placed the layers, so I wouldn't have to do it in AS anymore, since I think....repeat, I think this is the way the jump will stay. Now I must make a cane.

Well, look out now. He's armed with a cane.....lol I'm done until later. Then I need to figure out something rhythmic for his arms, but not so tick tockish.

There are 26 frames to this animation. I started on frame 9 to rotate the cane so that by the time it got to frame 14 (where the position changes) there wouldn't be such an abrupt jerk. Now I have to figure how to go from the vertical cane back to the angled one. If I'd have planned ahead, I would have made the arms separate from the hands as I usually do. I would have been much easier. I might have been tempted to put more cane action, but since I didn't and I'm too lazy to make new ones and replace all of them, there just won't be that much.

Okie dokie....The cane is coming and going, I think. Now there's that beer. I might have to make a new left arm anyway. Either the arm has to rotate at the shoulder or elbow or wrist to keep the mug from sloshing all over the place. If I use the arm just as it is, I would have to level it and probably adjust the shoulder to accomodate it. If I made another one I would probably bend at the wrist. Testing with my coffee cup.....going with the shoulder version first....lol

At least we know why he's feeling so frisky now....lol Somebody handed him a cold suds. I have to work more on the left arm pit and try to make them uniform on frames 12 -26. I didn't want to work too hard and then find out the arm wouldn't work. I wonder if I put a bigger head on that mug, if it would show to have it sloshing back and forth....lol
