Come and tell us how you are and what you are going to be doing. "The Family" always likes to know how we all are.

The exchange is huge. I'm better. Hard day at PT yesterday. Bad news. My step-son and grandson will not be coming next week, my dil came down with covid. Good news is they are coming later this month, yea! Had to send John's hearing aids in for repair, won't get them back til end of Aug. So communication is challenging. He had appt w/gastro doc about whether to do one last colonoscopy, John turns 81 this fall. Doc thinks he's healthy enough and therefore a good idea. I heartily agree. He had a large polyp removed 5 years ago and the removal/biopsies caused some issues, but all is well now. His father had colon cancer, so I think it's wise to be pro-active.

It sure is good to see you Margie, glad you were able to drip in.
Tornado and hurricane warning have been blasting on our phones and TV all evening. Glad my PC does not have sound. We have gotten a bit of rain and some wind gusts, but so far nothing traumatic. Hope it stays that way.

Hello all! I am waving and leaving hugs and good wishes!
It's August 6th Huronna... Did you make it through the 5th OK? Hopefully you are not in Oz. Do you need a Wizard? Crossing fingers that you and Joe and home and all are doing well.
I have a friend in Top Sail SC whi is under an all day tornado watch and one in Beaufort NC who is prepping her wine and coffeehouse business in the downtown area, the large "glassy" old waterfront home that her mom lives in, and the ancient ramshackle bungalow that she lives in near a river backwater. All are in flood zones. Yikes!
Mercury is retrograde, joining Pluto, Saturn, Neptune and a few others. So looking back, struggling with details and having to redo things should be expected. I hope this has nothing to do with hurricanes. Just saying...
We have struggled for an hour to cancel a Paypal auto payment of $5 to a weather service report that I have been getting for years but can't access as Steve's 'net email was vacuumed into Yahoo and many items dropped. It's a small company and a busy time... His instructions were to cancel it through PayPal and resubscribe. I think we failed. I'll order it again under the correct email anyway - even if it costs $10 monthly. His science is sound. It appears we will not get heavy rain or wind, for which I am grateful, but we will prepare a bit anyway.
Dashing for now. Leaving the sturdy umbrella, tarps and and tent stakes for anyone who needs them...

the tornado sirens went off here a couple of hours ago and then stopped and came back on and it rained hard for about 5 minutes then everything has been quiet until it stared raining a bit ago. and now thundering. yippee.
I had Mike pick me up a cordless keyboard and mouse the other day (well, I just said new keyboard and mouse) Not used to not having to keep the cord out of my way but it's nice so far. just gotta remember to turn them off at night

We had tornadoes and severe storms with softball size hail on Monday night, but since we are in Minnesota, it was not from Debby at all - just our summer adventures. There is always a bad storm during County Fair time. Dove Cat knew to go to the basement. She hates storms, so she knew how to shelter because she is such a smart kitty. She rode out the storms playing in the laundry and sitting on Sid's lap being petted and cuddled.

We've had a lot of lightning and huge thunder cracks with our monsoons, some torrential downpours. But they don't last long for the most part. No tornados to speak of, dust devils now and again.
Saw mama deer with week old baby, sweet. She and what I think is her dau or 2 daughters hang around here and sleep just over the crest from our house now and again. Mule Deer live 11-12 years or so. She's had fawns here before I think.
I'm readings more. Read 4 Wm Kent Kruger books, famous Minnesota writer, still working on King: A Life, it's HUGE and just started Nicholas and Alexandra [Romanovs] by Rbt Massie. The book became a movie I haven't seen. I read Catherine the Great and Peter by Massie, the famous Russian historian. He died in 2019 of Alzheimers. He writes so well, it's easy to be engaged in these biographies. I love history.

All that hot place broke loose when the monsoon hit last night mostly in Scottsdale. I couldn't believe all the trees they showed on the news that came down. There was one very "huge" tree! Stay safe everyone. (((HUGS)))

Good afternoon all. We had some pretty bad weather in July. Even had 3 storms in one day here. Hard to believe and a few weeks ago we had 70 mile hour winds with hail and heavy rain, did some damage but we don't have any trees anymore . Nice this week for a change. Hope everyone as a good weekend.

Silk, I'm glad the pain is under control. So hard when it's not. Glad youlike the tag, I thought it was you to a T. I had a rough PT session yesterday, PT was doing catch up after she missed my session because of Covid. I've heard shoulder replacements are harder than hip replacements, I think that's next up for me. Urggggggggggggggg

We went to Northport on Thursday and came home today. Joe did great. We took the walker but it stayed in a corner in the bedroom, was never used. He did use his cane when we went out to dinner Last night and when we went out for breakfast this morning, but in the house, he didn't even use that. I was really pleased to see how much progress he has been making.

Huronna and Flagryl. I appreciate your kindness in thinking of me, and your lovely gifts. Thank you Mary for your thought. Flagryl, the shoulder sounds painful. I hope you don't need the hips replaced. I've had two. You are so brave. We have Joe's daughter and husband coming on Friday. Something to look forward to.

I forgot to post the pic of the luscious, very fattening chocolate cheesecake my friend made while we were there for dinner. My mouth is watering, just thinking about it.
