Bad day here, Joe lef early to go to Costco, came home and decided to carry way too much at one time. He was taking too long to get in the house, so I went to check on him….just as I saw him lugging too much and I knew he would loose his balance. I yelled and screamed for him to drop the case of ice tea but men always think they know best…..and down he went flying. Now it was how to figure out how he can get up or I would call 911. After yelling I told him ….now YOU Will LISTEN TO ME. Told him to slowly roll over and move each arm and leg, making sure nothing was broken, a few scraps, but would deal with that later. He said he would pull himself up on a ladder….h e l l. no! That will topple over. We have a sturdy walker, I pulled that out and slowly had him turn so that he finally was able to pull himself up. To say the least, I was exhausted, pissed, scared and thankful, all at the same time, no broken ones, just his pride again because he had to sit through a few more lectures.

OMWord, good thinking with the walker. And, just before you two are scheduled to leave. I hope he isn't too banged up. Welcome Rosemary, sounds like you have a lot on your plate with old sunshine.
I got a pedi and haircut yesterday and met a gf for lunch today. I spent all morning communicating w/John's family about photos/video for his sister's memorial. I uploaded a bunch to Google Drive and Susan's granddaughter will do the video and hopefully collect more photos from others. Then had invites to family for John's paternal tree since I manage it on ancestry. Had to redo a couple because they had never logged in or used a different email.
We are getting some lovely afternoon monsoon rains, love it!

Oh Lord Huronna. That must have frightened the life out of you. I hope both you and Joe recover soonest...you from your shock and no bad injuries for Joe. I guess he will have bruises and be very sore. It must go with the name. My Joe is so stubborn...he can do anything ! I have a stair lift and beg him to use it...no ,doesn't need it, but staggers up the stairs with bags of groceries etc.
I had a fall last week but managed to fall backwards onto the bed with just a badly bruised arm from hitting the bedside table.

I guess he bounces well and today he is pretty good, even got him to do his PT exercises, a miracle at that.
We have been slowly getting things we need for this little trip. We're not used to packing for such a short time.
I have all my stuff on the guest bed and helped him figure out what he needed, than I'll pack deciding which suitcase to use.
AT least it's Southwest and luggage is included no I didn't have to decide when I bought the ticket.
BP is doing well, I have basically slowly lover the intake of the beta blocker, All swelling has gone down.
Benn taking BP every three house just to monitor things. Will take the BP wrist machine with me.
Been relaxing with Leonarda LOL

Sorry I'm late in Checking in for August. But we have had lots on our mind. John my husband went for his physical at Iowa Heart yesterday and passed. This means he will have his first cataract surgery on Thursday, August 24th. Wolfe Eye Clinic here will call to tell us what time we have to be out at the local hospital here next week. Sure am happy he will be able to see again after his second cataract surgery in Sept. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Wishing wonderful new sight with your husband's cataract surgery, mine has made a big difference. So sorry he had to wait so long for the second eye.

Got the Garmin map updates for my car yesterday. They did it for free. My modem was too far from our garage. Also Apply Car Play case is solved. I tried 7 ways to Sunday to get it to start working again. Thought it was related to getting a new battery [erases everything of course], but No. I examined the cord and thought it had seen it's day so went over to Best Buy and got a new one. It has to be Apple to work well. Perfect now so John will be able to see both my Garmin maps and Waze on the screen and will be able to hear it. I'll take the new cord with me when we travel and rent a car. Also bought him a new presentation clicker for his large hands. Sometimes the place where he presents his Power Point presentation has either small or cheap clickers, not good w/wi-fi and hard to use. Should have got him one before, duh!
It's cool here, lots of rain. I'm baking a peach pie today. Eat your heart out!

Arrived perfectly, spent afternoon renewing friends.
Heard this morning from my friends in Palm Springs , lots of flooding, roads closed, no damage to their place, Max their dog doesn’t want to go outside to potty ha ha

Hello Friends, how is everyone?
I am good. Working a lot. Now I have four days off.
I get my hair cut today and I can't wait. We have a heat watch for the week so it will be good to be off and indoors.
Dove Cat was playing with me and she bit my toe. This is the first time she has ever bitten me playfully. She usually gnaws on Sid. Most people have ankle biters. I have a toe biter. Ha ha. She is so cute. I love her to pieces. She is particularly fascinated with crickets these days. Whenever she goes out to the garage with Sid, she looks for crickets. She is such a good baby.
I needed to edit this so I can tell you the best part! I am back to normal - well my normal state of insanity! My psychiatrist said my meds have leveled me off and she is even beginning a taper on one of them so that I can just get back to my normal program. I have a different medicine cocktail, but it is working! Hot diggity! I am happy again. I think work has a lot to do with that, but I will take it.

Your hair looks super cute Grassy, you are so pretty. I think either Dove wants your attention or she's mad that you don't feed her like Sid feeds her, that's what humans are supposed to do! Just brainstorming here. So glad you are better. I am too. Taking my thyroid meds at night and setting the alarm for 6 am each day rain or shine.
I did the grocery shopping this morning, love going early to beat the crowds. I've been wrestling w/UTube, getting ready for NFL Sunday Ticket. It's a splurge for John but I do all the techie stuff. Works well w/my Firestick for the streaming but can only manage from my phone for recording. Contacted them and I can't pair our tv w/computer or iPad until the regular season starts. Duh. It's their first year w/ NFL so they don't have all the buggaboos worked out. Pay a small fortune for a big headache.

I took some photos today and tried to post them on Facebook, they never showed on my iPad. But yet none friend commented in a pm with one of the photos. So it could just be something with the wifi here,guess I’ll have to wait til I get home.

Just wait - sometimes Facebook can delay your pics by several hours and some people can see them but others can't. I will go see if I can see them. I know I posted Dove pics one four or five times before someone told me Facebook can be flaky about that. But also, sometimes Facebook doesn't post them so it's a gamble.

NFL Sunday Ticket is a monstrous pain in the butt, but just wait until you see the joy on John's face! My little brother gets it so he can watch all of his out-of-market games. You are so smart!
