Interesting, and it looks great o you. Having a little trouble with swelling in my feet and hands, its a reaction to the meds they increased about 6 weeks ago. After consultation, changing the water pill that is supposed to work better and might even let me decrease the beta blocker. Joe is picking it up as we speak. I may wind up leaving in the bathroom tonight LOL

You certainly wear those colors very well Milyn! Quite a process. Huronna I sure hope the swelling goes down, I hate that. Traveling always makes me swell up. I know about living in the bathroom after travelling.
Saw mama doe and her fawn this morning, they bed down on our property over the rise and I suspect that's where the birth was. Papa has been hanging around as well, a family for sure.
The last week has been a real trial. Our trip down to Prescott was a long day and the AV set up less than desirable for John's presentation, but he is unflappable and did well.
The reorder of the skylights are finally on order and 5 weeks out. The roofer was able to sell the misfits to another contractor, whew! The window replacement saga continues as the outsourced engineer is balking, the price is high so the insurance co brought him in. I spent all day yesterday providing more detail. We have finally set the date for John's sister's memorial, in Oct and made airline and car rental reservations. Amy was able to cancel a meeting so we can spend some time together afterwards.
I'm still struggling with my thyroid issues and getting sleep, I'm so sensitive to any kind of drugs.
I am loving the Nailiques Huronna, so much better than gel polish. I remember eons ago your telling me about some product you used but I didn't know it sealed as it does. Bought some new Opi light pearl pinkish taupe polish and am loving it. Chiffon-d of You. No issues and my sensitive cuticles are not screaming as they did w/gel polish. Thank you!!!
Getting some rain but fire restrictions still in Stage 1 but the new Weber gas grill is working well.

The only thing worse than gel is acrylic , both are horrendous for nails. Nalitique is no worse than using clear nail polish but so much better. I did my nails on the 12th July, tomorrow is week 4 for the same manicure and my typical 5 coat nail polish. They are getting a bit long and so I need to so them and clip off and file a bit, but I want to wait until the ends of this week as we are going to the ship reunion in Nashville Aug 20-25 and of course I want them nice for that LOL

I hope your swelling goes down Huronna, and I am sorry for your stressful week Flagryl. I am glad you had the doe and her family to look at though. I love nature. I am so glad the grill is working out too. I start my a.m. shifts at 3 a.m. Thursday. I have too short a time to shift my sleep to getting up at 1:30 and going in to work at 3. If anyone can tell me how to do that, I am all ears. And your help is appreciated. Usually I have a couple of days to prepare, but not this time. I have to figure out how to swap out that medication too so I am taking it at my dinnertime which would then be 4 p.m.. I am getting nervous.

I took a little nap from midnight until Dove Cat woke me at 4:15 wanting to play. Good timing. I will go back to bed this afternoon and that will be my "night." I love Dove Cat so much!

I couldn't do it, you rock Grassy. Saw mama and the fawn this morning, mom jumped over the fence but baby couldn't find the wildlife openings John had made. It's only a week old or so. Anyway, later this afternoon saw the fawn still on this side of the fence. No sign of mama. Baby seemed to know where it was going, home over the rise where I believe it was born. I didn't have time to grab my camera so the zoom on my iPhone no no, just don't know how to use it I guess. There's also been a frenzy at my hummingbird feeder, had to shoot through the window.

Had my first day of baking last night. I have no idea how I will fly solo and get this all done by myself when the time comes. But it was awesome, and I had a blast!
Flagryl, I love your nature pics.
Silk, I am sorry for your pain. I hope you enjoy your bird feeder. I have a couple. I love them.
How is everyone doing? I am all right. I have tonight off and then I work Saturday night.

Saw Mama and her fawn this morning, too far away for pics. They were jaunting merrily along, going to the meadow on FS land I suspect.

Got another day of work under my belt. Next weekend I am going to be doing it by myself Yikes! I am trying to learn good habits. I really like it, though. Everyone is nice to me. Sleeping is hard. I need to make the kitchen area of my house a bit darker. We bought a big blind to go over the kitchen window. And I can close my door except I don't want to shut Dove out because then she might cry to be let in and I would wake up anyhow. I did sleep through a tornado last night. The next town over got a tornado and we got strong straight-line winds that I slept through. The thunder must have lulled me into a deeper sleep. There was no major damage from the tornado and everyone is OK.

WHAT ABOUT THOSE BLACK SLEEP MASKS THAT THEY GIVE YOU ON OVERNIGHT FLIGHTS? Glad things are going goo so far and that your co-workers are nice. That sure helps
Sorry about the caps. Update, blood pressure is stable, with beta blockers bow cut in half, with the new diuretic . And I can feel the difference in my feet, not as tight as they were Hoping things are stable and the rest of the sweeling goes down.

I can't imagine the joy of seeing the new born and it's Mum Flagryl. This morning my Grandson Levi, Ben's youngest (19 ), flew over our house . Joe and Ben had gone to the headland where Levi did a couple of loops for them. We were all so excited. Takes after his Grandad ( my late ). I saw the Physio today about my shouder. She gave me a good work out and that was painful. It's Infraspinatus . Nothing can be done for my neck which has self fused. It's so nice to have Ben here. How is work Grassy?

Well my swelling in my feet and hands has gone down with the new meds and I have been able to cut the beta blocker in half. That was added to my BP meds because it was goting too high a while ago, But it causes the swelling. Yesterday my BP was really low, and I mean really. Not passing out low, but I could tell it was bad as I didn't even want to sit at the computer. So I didn't take the evening beta blocker and this morning I feel super. I took the regular meds this morning and will check my BP during the day. if it again drops I will cease the beta blocker all together.
Joe and I went out to dinner last night with a long time friend. Originally met in Italy and then we were al stationed together again in Japan. They only live about 35 milres from us, but with out travels and theirs, our paths seem to pass in the night. We are glad when we are all here and can get together over once in a while.
Just a reminder, I will be going out of town on Sunday-Friday night. We are flying to Nashville for a ship reunion. This is the last ship Joe was on when we were still stationed in Italy. They had them every other year started in 1990. This is the 7th one we will be attending. Always a good time renewing friendships.

I hope you have fun on your week away Huronna. Nashville is a fun town.
Does anybody else have any fun adventures planned?
I am just working. I am off today. Yesterday was a tough day. I think my trainer is losing patience. Everything went wrong yesterday. Grrrr. Oh well, these are the things that test us. I hope I don't stink. Plus I am not finished with operations training yet so I have to take time out of my day to finish it. I am so nervous. I love the job, though.

I have blackout curtains in the bedroom. Those are great! I am sleeping tons better now that I have pulled the door closed. The cat can still get in. She doesn't like to be in there when we're sleeping, though. Sid leaves TV shows of birds and squirrels on the big TV in the living room that she watches.

Old sunshine (hubby) has health issues he's had 19 surgeries.. his spine and neck, open heart, a pacer, pain pump, the list goes on. right now we've in PT for the last surgery, recovery is taking longer as hes now 80.. Plus he had a Tia and covid which slowed everything down. Have my feet planted firmly in Ohio a block away from Lake Erie. Never used pro boards so give me a few minutes to figure it out.. may be more then 1 post..lol

Proboards is easy and out site is even easier for members, there is only one board that people can post on , and you on it LOL The General board. All the other boards are for information and some fun stuff to read and questions don't hesitate to ask.
