Good morning. Great to finally get in here and see all the posts. We went camping for Jerry’s birthday. I fixed a shrimp boil that night. Sandy and John were camping in the spot next to ours. They joined us for the shrimp boil and everyone loved it. The second night I made taco salad. That was also a big hit. We enjoyed some beautiful sunsets. I took pictures but tossed most of them away. I still have one beautiful sun set photo. As closing on th winte home comes nears we ave more paperwork to do and the last of doctor appointment for this year. Seen Nero Surgon yesterday’ and on 15th go to my regular doc for my yearly fasting blood work. On Nov 2 I go to orthopedic doctor for the one year check on the left knee. I won’t go into what my Nero said about the MRI and my back but I told Jerry months ago what I thought it was and I was right. After the last appointment I get down to packing things into the motor home for our winter vacation in the new home. I have the names and phone numbers of all utility companies there and if I get electric changed to our name when we are leaving here we can park under our new RV port for a couple days before closing. Other utilities will have to wait until we close and get ownership papers. I started a list of garage things we should take. Power washer, air compressor, car wash brush and an assortment of tools to name what’s on that list so far. I need to take sewing thread and needles for quick repairs or button replacement. Most of all a desk top computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard because we will have cable internet. YAY I am happy about being able to park in the park behind the gates as I will be taking my three wheel bicycle and it is hard to lock it on the carrier. I will have it strapped down but thieves are not deterred if they decide they want something. I will leave the bike in Florida as we do not have any good place to ride here. It has always been kept inside when not in use. The work shop at the end of the RV port is big enough to leave it inside there. Grassy, you do not need the negative remarks from those over grown children. They are acting like grade school children when they make hurtful remarks. I have learned to pretty much ignore them. They are jealous and if they don’t like me or what I am doing it is their loss. Huronna so happy you got to finally travel. I know you enjoy it so much and am happy you can finally get that enjoyment. Looking forward to meeting face to face and I have a hug waiting for you. BTW I love hugs. Flagryl. It should be a good time to sell the old treadmill. People are buying exercise things they can use at home now after being cooped up at home. I Ned to donate a lot of clothes since they and to big on me now. I kept them incase I mig et back the weight I lost but these fall off of me and I need motivation to not let myself get back to that. Glad you col. was down, yay for you. I go for my bloo wok th 1th. My sodium is always low. Col. was getting up there though. Smilyn, so sorry you fell. What’s worse is the damage that happened to you. I know how you feel when you hire someone to do a job and they are not to interested in getting it done fast or correctly. I hope it gets done sooner now. Margi, congratulations on your up coming anniversary. 30 years is almost unheard of now days. We will celebrate our 56th in February. We did not live together before getting married though. Back in those days it was unheard of. I think it would help keep a marriage together though. Happy for you. Anita, hugs, so sorry for your loss.
Ok on a brighter note I found out what Baxter is. He is a “ Malchi” that is a Maltese mix and his name in the American language means Adventurous Boy. He is that for sure. When camping he wants to meet everyone near by. Hard to keep him at the camper on a leash. We always gave that boy on a leash when outside or he would take off on an adventure. We’ll time for coffee, later. Have a great day.

Well Joe's passport is on it's was to Phili for renewal, so we aren't going out of the country for a while. Next scheduled trip is Feb 2022. Can't wait to meet you, Whispy, and hubby and of course the pups. We have friends that come to Fl for the month of Feb. Usually they get settled in their rental, then come to our house for a couple of days and then we go to their place a bit later. One of these days we will actually schedule a trip together. Always off in different directions. Made an appt. for Friday to get my COVID booster and then in a week or so will do my yearly flu shot. Always busy busy

Huronna, glad you are on top of the passport for Joe. Now you can relax a bit. Whispy, great you can take your bike. What did the Neuro say? Have a great time with the birthdays Ottie, my husband's is coming up next week. I'm baking him a lemon meringue pie. And, Tilly your next trip is next week too. Fall is a busy time. I have a new toy which will help my legs. It's really smooth. I don't have it situated under my desk yet, that's going to take some doing as I have an articulated keyboard that is lowered. I need to tether my desk chair that has rollers so it doesn't rock. We'll see. But I can use it in my reading chair but can't read while I cycle. I'd have to fix a reading bench type of something. So where is Grassy's Sid for this solution? The treadmill gets set up next week, hope all goes okay with the technicians. I went into the gym yesterday and used theirs, new so I could do all 30 min rather than break it up as I had to do w/old treadmill. I donated it, a nice young man picked it up and he's the perfect owner as he's handy and works for Best Buy in their Geek Squad. I used FB Marketplace and sold it for FREE. Today I walked out our street to the main road and it was lovely. No one out and no traffic of course as we are pretty isolated out here.

I had my COVID booster shot yesterday and Like the second one, I'm just a bit tired and not very ambitious. Just sitting at the computer, trying to get some auction entries done. Dinner was a caesar salad with little tomatoes, some cucumber and avocado. Called a California Caesar salad LOL Bill and I used to go to the Silver Spoon (no there anymore) and they had the best caesar, only I asked them to add avocado and the next year when I was there, they had updated their menu LOL Think I'll just loaf the rest of the night. We did go to the gym, but I did easy, only 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 on the a recumbent elliptical then called it a day.

Good afternoon everyone...I am way behind with the posts and don't think I'll catch up. Flagryl,,,,that gadget for under your desk looks as if it might help me . Sorry such a short post. You are all in my thoughts. Ben and my grandson left this morning and Julien will stay another week.Ben is having his operation on the septum in his nose on Wednesday. I've rediscovered Chai tea....I'd forgotten how much I like it....about to brew a cup. How good to see you back in the fold again Huronna. I need to look to see if I have any tags suitable for the Auction. My best wishes to all and be well.

Boy I tell yall, I don't know how I worked! I have been doing so much! Cleaning my house, PSP (challenges, Hot Swaps, and getting Auction things around) and messing up some tuts. Jeez, what do you9 do if you totally hate something? Do you just grit your teeth and go ahead and post it knowing it's crap or do you pucker one's mouth it up and make a new one?
We're also decorating for Halloween! Yay!
I love seeing how everyone is doing too! Whispy I am so excited for you! Thank you for the encouragement!
Flagryl, I love your bike thing. There is a lady in MN who figured out a way to walk, bike, and do other types of exercise the whole time she was working from home during the quarantine. She is a paralegal/law office employee and she lost something like 78 lbs. Those bikes are fabulous for folks who might be at risk for falling too.

I have gastroparesis. Sometimes Green Tea helps me (ahem) go. Otherwise, I am more into coffee.

I have gone off my coffee these days but Chai tea is not like other teas. Origin India; mixed spices and tea...can also be made like latte coffee. Delicious.

Silk, I love Chai Tea. I forgot about it because I don't drink it in summer. I kind of has a fennel taste right? Sort of? I like it because it is a little bit thicker. Not the normal thinness like Earl Grey.

Grassy....mixed spices generally. I wouldn't say a fennel flavour but I have to say that I love fennel I always add the seeds to cabbage when we have Corned Silverside. I use green tea also at times when the tummy is not playing nice. Gastroparesis...ahhh Grassy . I hope it packs it's bags very soon. ♥

Gastroparesis is such a drag! I miss eating all the great foods! Do you have it too, Silk?
I just noticed about Joe's Passport too Huronna. You are super smart to get right in there. I forgot where you are going in Feb. I hope somewhere warm, or don't you have to worry about that living in FL? Usually in Minnesota we get a warm week right around Valentine's Day. We call that Fool's Spring because it tempts one into believing winter is finished. The following week - Historically when State Tournaments for Sports and other Winter Extracurriculars (one-act plays, Speech and Debate, Chess, etc.) - begin is when all the snowstorms begin. And it seems we get snowstorm after snowstorm through the end of March.

I do have something similar Grassy due to the medications I have to take. My grouch is....why can't we have just one or two problems and not the overload we have. Jules is here for a week....he and Joe have gone shopping. I hope there is no bloodshed. Julien is so fast at whatever he does and Joe is the opposite. Huronna...your caeser salad sounds nice.

So I like green tea, but mostly drink coffee. Summatra is my favorite. "Gastroparesis is such a drag" is an understatement, ditto Silk as we don't need these issues to pile up on top of one another. Hope you are better after your booster. I had Moderna so have to wait.
John moved all the movables out of my office so we could clean the area rug, it looks lovely. Wild Packer game today against the Bengals, whew can't believe the missed field goals and extra points.
Good to see you posting Silk, glad Jules can stay a bit and I hope Ben's surgery goes well this coming week. I made some chicken soup for tonight so need to go tend to it.

Flagryl! That was a game and a half huh? Insanity all around! I loved it!
Boy when it comes to medical stuff, when it rains it pours sometimes. Blah! All the best for Ben's surgery!
Gastroparesis can be largely controlled by diet, but it's a terrible diet. I feel malnourished because two food groups are pretty much eliminated. I feel dehydrated and just plain mean. I may start biting people. Not you guys because I like you - and nobody's really plump and juicy enough. I know that sounds awful, but I am so hungry. And because of Lymphedema, I am not able to lose weight because of all the fluid. I have never been more excited for a mammogram in my life because it will show fibrosis and fluid and maybe they will recognize the importance of why I am complaining so much and so vehemently advocating for myself. This flare is horrible. Maybe there will be someone to bite there, but that might get me a 72-hour hold. Nobody wants a "cray-cation."

They are starting to give us a new roof today. Right now there are 6 men on the roof and it feel like I'm in a sardine can and people are pounding on my head. Maybe I should take some advil or something or go out and buy ear plugs. Luckily it should only take 2-3 days. Our house is 21 years old and in the Florida sun, rain and hurricanes that is about the expected life span. We don't have any leaks or anything but it's better to take care of it before anything happens.

Update on mE? Sending out Hugs and positive vibes to all that are under the weather or suffering through other issues. Doing great, just chugging along day by day. I have put on so much weight with the Celiac Disease, and no activity (due to back pain when I walk) that want to cover all my mirrors so I can't see myself when I happen to walk past one.
On the 28th of September I had attended a Birthday Party for my great grandson's 2nd birthday. Was sitting there talking to some family members when all of a sudden had a SHARP pain in my chest. It was so sharp that it scared me and I guess all the color drained from my face. Took some nitro that I had the pain continued and my son-in-law called the paramedics and they proceeded to take me to the ER. The hospital did a few tests and were unable to find what had caused it. The paramedics had taken my bp and it was a wopper. I think they said it was 298/199. By the time they got me to the ER it had come down a bit. Anyhoo the ER sent me home with instructions to see my primary doctor. I already had an appointment with her for that upcoming Monday for my 6 month check up. She advised me to see my Cardiologist to make sure there was no damage to the heart. She suggested that the pain might be spasms. I made the appointment to see Dr Solsi, my cardio doc. Went and saw him and he has set up a nuclear stress test, (which I have had before a few years back) and an echocardiogram. So that is set up for the 18th. In the mean time the dizzyness that I experienced also is still appearing its ugly head so I have to move rather slowly. The Cardio doc also wants me to get a walker so I can start walking more. It will help with support and lessen the back pain. So there you have it. Still having a few of the chest pains off and on but not to the degree of the one causing all the trouble. Unfortunately I have never been a person that was exercise prone. Which is my down fall. Oh well, so there you go. Lump it and live with it huh?

298/199. wow! And I thought mine was high at 212/119 when I was taken to the ER for "stroke alert" which it wasn't it was just way too much salt intake. You better take care of yourself or you'll give me a heart attack

Well, they have been working like crazy, unfortunately they have caused an electrical problem, the socket they were using on the front porch, burned up, I guess too much continuous power and now they are using an outlet in the garage, which had cause other outlets not to work, and on them in a refrig in the garage and also our water softener system. They are going to have to fix all that before payment. And this company is payment upon completion.. It is now 6:25 and they are still here. The electrician is coming tomorrow and the inspector, so we'll get things fixed. Joe has run a different cord in the garage to make sure we have electric there for the things we need.

Holy cow Suzie, I just about had a heart attack reading that! I wish you all the best and I will say special prayers that that type of pain never happens again.
Huronna, fortunately we got our roof fixed when I could be away. I am a noise *and* vibration person. I can sometimes feel noises. Like hammering and things that are not constant. I am OK with sawing and things like that because it is constant - almost like white noise.
