Here I come dragging in and exhausted and still not home. In DC Dulles airport awaiting flight HOME. Started this trek at 5 am Malta time and that is 10:52 PM their time now. Thankfully I requested a wheelchair for joe because some of the connection distances were horrendous. We have another hour Before boarding and then we will get home around 11 tonight. I’ll put up my Angel challenges tomorrow

Glad you are safely home Huronna. Glad you had a chance to make new memories too!
We continue the work concerning the sale of mom's house. It has become an octopus of a task with many exhausting tendrils. We keep assuring ourselves that these days will pass. Meanwhile, the passenger window on the driver's side of my tiny Prius C exploded yesterday as I was getting into the car - and the big front tire of our RV had lost 30lbs of air after being at the big truck repair facility for it's inspection - so may have picked up something. My leg and hip are screaming and I am back to cane usage - especially late in the day - but the weather is simply glorious. For that we are very grateful as we are working outside every day of late. I want to put of Halloween decs, but am writing insurance claims instead. See you later... Leaving good wishes for all!

Hello all. Just slipping in to see what everyone is doing. Huronna, glad you are back but I was thinking you were on your long cruise, or did that much time slip away from me? I hope Silk is doing well and everyone else has a great weekend. I don’t have much to say right now, just so much sad news which I don’t want to lay on anyone. Be safe and happy. Life is too short not to be. I shall be back.

Hello, my most precious Tigerlilies! What's up? I've missed you! I was busy working, but that has changed. The dietary job was too physically demanding and I could not do it. I was also too slow. I could handle that news just fine, but what bothered me is the people who talked about me behind my back. I can hear a mouse peeing on cotton from a mile away. It bothers me when people don't take their concerns right to you. Grrrrr.
But on the plus side, I pampered myself with some Halloween decorations for my house.
Sid says I don't have to work - and technically I don't because I am retired - but Jeez, what would I do all day? And it's fun to have some extra money for decorations and whatnot.
And why do people make judgements about me because I am old, slow and blind? I have had three jobs in four months.
But in other news, life is pretty good and it looks like my family is coming for Thanksgiving! Hot diggity!

What could you do all day? Use all those tubes and scraps you have heeee, hint hint I guess it’s semi-adults that can act like children also. You tried and that is the main thing, anD knowing you, you never give up, just chalk it up and move on to something better. Don’t forget to show us photos of your Halloween decorations.

I agree. Grassy, you do not need to put yourself in such a negative environment. Listen to Sid, enjoy Halloween and those candies if you want. Go get your scrapkits and create, that's what you really do best. Be your best creative self. You go gryl

Welcome home Huronna. Grassy I quit working myself and found I had more to do when I retired then when I was working. But many people now days are going back to work. But like Sid say you don't have to work so it's up to you. My friend Lu is 71 and went back to work at Walmart as night stocker. This month John and myself will celebrate 30 years of marriage. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Thanks Huronna and Silk for your kind words. Both of us actually met in Sept of 1989 and dated then lived together for a couple of years before we got married. So we have been together for 32 years. We were both married before, John three times and once for me. But we think a lot like and people have say we belong together. I couldn't agree more.

Grassy... I think you have more fun getting jobs than anyone I have ever met. I love that about you. As for the backbiters and complainers... not befriending you and supporting you is their loss. We have never been so busy as after Steve retired. I wish we could get the hang of it. I want more time to play! Speaking of work; I fell down on chain link that was on the ground and set off several problems, back, knee, hip. I also moved some files in my phone and made the external drive become invisible. I am off to try to get help with my back but the card may need Verizon time. I hope the fence is finished today. We certainly hired the wrong man. Sigh. But the weather continues clear and bright and for this I am very, very grateful! Anitia... I know you are sad. I am holding your hand. Hugs to you - and all dealing with loss. Margie... You look particularly lovely today and Happy Wishes and many congratulations on your upcoming Anniversary.

OUCH Milyn, I bet you are sore. Falling is something we all need to be very careful of. I worry all the time about my husband because his sense of balance is negligible. I was so glad that we made it through this entire vacation without any mishap. Hope that you feel better soon

Ditto on Grassy and her jobs, she can do anything! Milyn gryl, between your shoulder and your knees you seem to be a walking disaster lately. All this work is taking its toll on you. Wow, car window exploded...rock chip somewhere...scary. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary Margie!!! We first met 30 years ago but didn't marry until 3 years later but we lived together for a couple of years before we married.
Silk, I hope your health issues get sorted out soon as I'm sure it's hard not feeling well. Anita, keep us posted on how you are doing.
I bought a new treadmill and it should be here in 10-12 days or so. Now need to get rid of the old one, it works.
I'm on a cleaning and reorganization binge. I cleaned out and reorganized the closet in my study, whew! Went through my Mom's jewelry box and got rid of a bunch of costume jewelry junk, but kept the old things. Found a box with old earrings of mine, so sorted those for donations. Guess what I found beneath the cotton layer. A 50-dollar bill! I have no idea where that came from or how long it's been there! Good thing I didn't just donate the entire box!!
Moved on to my walk-in in our bedroom, getting out my Winter clothes and packing up things to donate. Reorganized it as well. I have way too many shoes, goodness!!! I am going to tackle the dining room cupboards next and get rid of a bunch of candle holders and stuff. Laundry room is also on the list, need to reorganized our storage area in there. I hate clutter with a passion, it's distracting and I think unhealthy for the mind.
Got my bloodwork back in time for my appt w/doc on Tues. Everything normal and Total Chol was 148!!! Whoot whoot

Just got back from the post office. Before we left I already had all the paper work and photos done to renew Joe's passport. Though it doesn't actually expire until 2023, this was the best time frame to get it done. Overnight, expedited and overnight return. Still takes between 9 and 12 weeks. But out new trip is not until Feb. Now to go through all the mail that was delivered today. two weeks worth. Joe gets the junk and I get the bills....is that fair? I envy your getting rid of stuff. I can only do that when Joe is off on a trip visiting his family or a ship group or something. Everything to him is a treasure, woe is me! Off to do the mail!
