At the gate awaiting departure in another hour. I can’t believe it, all they asked for was put passports and vaccination cards. Nothing about Covid test or anything else and we got out boarding passes fromNewark to Malta already. Maybe some of the info they already had electronically?? Who knows

Now in Newark airport, the Lufthansa lounge. They used to have the greatest food and any kind of wine and spirits……..ha! After Covid it’s fountain soda and coffee. At least comfortable seats and a couple of nice people to chat with

Yeah, I read about the no alcohol because some jerks ruined it for everybody. But maybe Lufthansa will be different, I've always liked flying w/them to Europe.

We have finally arrived After a very long a grueling day. The worse part was in Malta going through the health stuff. Turns out almost everyone including myself had filled out one paper wrong, so everyone had to do it by hand. we are now onboard in our room , have unpacked and are just finally relaxing without a mask. Normally we would be roaming the ship, but after so many hours with a mask, we are just alone for a while Trying to add photos but need to resize on laptop first ….later

Hello everyone, I have been reading your comments little by little. This space is very interesting to share our day to day life. Huronna, I hope you can enjoy, relax and rest on your trip. I hope to see those wonderful designs you will do with the psp. Here in New Jersey the kids started school. Today the day is quite cool and wonderful, my husband helped me do the laundry, now I'm going to make dinner. In a while I'll be back to continue with the lessons ... I'm going at a snail's pace because of the calculations that needs to be done. Good evening to all.

Yay Huronna... Onboard and ready for fun. I'm so happy for you both. It's a lovely room... Enjoy!
I'll be back tomorrow to check in more. Meanwhile: Hugs and waves for all!

Ooooooo wow Huronna! Your stateroom is amazing! Is stateroom the right term? I am delighted that now you can just sit and relax and eat some nice cruise food.
Ha Ha, when I lived in Costa Rica I always flew with Lufthansa and British Airways. It's so strange that some airlines like PanAm and TWA and Branniff aren't even around anymore.
You'd think European airlines would be more (ahem) continental. But Jeez those drunks being all rowdy, that is scary. But you know what they say - instant jerkface, just add alcohol. Maybe people are just jerkfaces, though.

Hello from Florida, we will be heading back to Missouri starting today. We found a perfect home for us for ur winter home. Here is the link to see video it [ www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSXHUmWOsh0 ] you might have copy and paste. We made the offer the day and the woman accepted it even though the realtor did not think she would. We close mid November or sooner. We are near so many things including Huronna. It will be wonderful be near so we can visit face to face. Huronna said she would let me break the news to you all. This one is right beside the canal so Jerry can fish every day if he wants. That is one thing he wanted. The place is live in ready, linens, pans, dishes, even vacuum cleaner and carpet shampooer included. Now I have to gather the extra clothes and things we will need of personal items so we won’t be scurrying around collecting what we want to take along. We have very little internet while traveling so that is why I have been silent. I have to get things buttoned up in the motor home now so we can get on the road back to the ranch. This has been a very enjoyable trip. Seen some friends we have not seen since Covid started. I will return when I have a bit better internet. Huronna have a much needed cruise. More pictures please.

Yes Vane, a snail's pace is the best way to start.
Whispy, congrats on your winter home. I love the porch and assume it has screens. Can you eat the fish caught in the canal? What kind of fish are there ready and waiting? Are there gators in that canal?
We had a family zoom of a tour of John's hometown where all his nieces and nephews visited and took his older sister along. Great fun. Some of their kids are in college and zoomed w/us from their dorm rooms.
I made chicken and noodle soup yesterday and we are taking a couple of quarts to our friend who just got out of the hospital. Everything is homemade except the Reames Egg Noodles, which are frozen. They were the creation of an Iowa woman but the business was sold to Marzetti and you can get them almost anywhere now.

Good evening friends...it's been a while since I've been in. Have been really sick but on the mend. My son Julien left early this morning to drive back to Sydney but he and my youngest son Ben are hopeful they can return together soon. Dinner was a frozen one this evening with Tiramisu to follow. It was good to be able to eat. Fingers crossed. Whispy, your new home is very attractive and looks spacious. Oh, don't mention Alligators !!! if there are any there would be precautions I am sure. Huronna your rooms look pleasant and restful...you need that...yes !! looking forward to hearing more of the cruise. Vane, There is tons of time to do the lessons and at your own pace. Flagryl...the 'Zoom' sounds like fun. I could have done with some of your Chicken Noodle Soup. Yesterday was hot but today back to Winter. Grassy, I hope you're doing reasonably OK. I might even be able to try Huronna's challenge.

Hi Silk, seems like we are on similar times together. It’s a little after lunch here, and two glasses of wine. No port today, it’s a day at sea. Later going to a talk about Dubrovnik, Croatia. That should be. Interesting

Dubrovnik is a lovely city. I hope you can walk the city wall, it's only about a mile in length and the views are awesome. Lots of side streets to roam, food in the square is pricey and frankly a tourist trap but go off the beaten path and you'll be happy. This is still a busy time of year to visit Crotia, the islands are wonderful. Lots of good seafood.
Silk, glad you are better and both Ben and Julien will be back. How is Joe doing?
We have plumber coming this morning to put a new head on our water filter under the kitchen sink. Still lovely weather here, I love fall in the mountains.

In case your wondering. Any body of water in Florida is considered to have alligators. The canal is fresh water. There are bass, catfish, perch and alligators to name a few of what’s in the canals. We are back in Missouri now. Got home mid afternoon. Left Titusville FL yesterday morning. Hit rain showers all the way home. It was a humid day and promising to be a hot one in Florida. Got here to a stiff north wind and 66 degrees out. Big change.

Good morning...Huronna, Croatia is a beautiful country . The Dubrovnik lecture should be very interesting. Thank you Flagryl, Joe is pretty much back to normal but I make him use a cane when doing tricky things. Like most Poles though he is stubborn. He made a trellis from the metal springs of a mattress that had to be tossed out. He's planted climbing peas. How is that shoulder? You have quite a bit of work being done on the house. I am waiting on my cleaner. The house was a mess but we've got it tidied for her. I found a huge black bruise at the back of my upper arm . I have no recollection of banging the arm although I did bang into a few things. I began working on Huronna's challenge.

Thanks for sharing your stateroom with us Huronna. Very comfortable indeed. Well today I turned 73 on Sept 21st. Went to WalMart and bought a ROKU for our Smart TV and have it hooked up now. Since we don't have cable or dish we do however have the internet which has wifi on it and needed for the ROKU. Also got some lovely birthday cards and e-greeting card. Plus many birthday wishes on Facebook. Also got some money. Had cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches to. Plus ate out at Arby's as well. So all in all had a nice 73rd birthday. Can't wait to see all the pictures you took from your trip Huronna. How do you like the Viking Cruise so far?
