We had an unseasonally warm day today for Winter. Lots of birds coming to bathe. Three King Parrots came while we were having happy Hour. Joe just got one on a branch. He didn't want to get too close to those on the deck.

Oh and what a colorful sweetie, nice pic Silk. Good to see you posting. When do you get the jab?
Okay, the latest is we are NOT going back to the Midwest to see family for my birthday or attend John's hs reunion. It's complicated w/grandson Nate going off to college, he starts at Univ of Victoria on my birthday. John worries about me and the what ifs with the challenges of travel. So, doing October will be the target. Birthdays for John and his sister in Wisc and 25th anniversary of Amy and Christopher, so I agreed that would be more doable. I may get a gel injection for my L knee later this month, it's more the bursa so that may need an injection instead to tame the IT bands. It's complicated. If I didn't do anything, didn't use the treadmill or walk I wouldn't have an issue but who wants to live not exercising. Well, not me. Muscles are the key to everything so there's that.

What a beautiful site to wake up to! Probably if you didn't exercise you would have more problems, like slowly not being able to do anything. Keep using the body, even if in moderation....so says my trainer. Sometimes I wake in the morning and every item of my body aches, but start moving, get up and the sun is shining and I'm soon ready to go----to my computer of course HA HA
Joe went to his church this morning (it's a very small one, only like 120 members if that) but came home because there was a sign on the door that said...Virtual today. He tried his darnest to find it on the computer but didn't succeed.

Hi everyone! Newbie here looking to learn more animation and get some of these fantastic tags I see you all have made! Lots of talent here. I have a 'basic' understanding of animation and of course am a psp junkie (and tag piggy lol). Sorry I don't really have anything to share right now. I live in PA and have 4 grown children and 3, soon to be 4 grandbabies. I like to do things in PSP and other crafts when I have any time left over (which right now, I don't) Nice to meet everyone and ty for having me. Amy Jo

Flagryl, it sounds like a good decision regarding traveling for you. I wince when I think of what you go through. I get the jab on Aug. 17th. Huronna I'd never heard of a virtual church service and this is what I found online. First, participating in a virtual service is about setting aside time and space at home for worship. The home becomes part of the worship experience and becomes, for a time, intertwined with a more formal worship space represented online. Could this be it ? Nice to see you Amy Jo. Winter is back today. Finished my last set for the auction but not entirely happy with it but having trashed so many over the past days it was a case of now or never. My best wishes to everyone.

Maybe it is also called something on zoom? When everything was closed for COVID, many places met online, also medical started that telehealth where patients and dr, spoke on Skype of their live phones? Anyway his church group is pretty small and I guess a couple people have come down with the delta variant, so not meeting live was a good idea. But he didn’t know until he got there and there was a sign onthe door.

Polly.. So sorry you have suffered a stroke, i hope you get plenty of rest and relaxation for the healing process.
Hi to everyone, yep still around and plodding on, my 2 older grand daughters have been over and stayed a couple of nights, restrictions here in the UK lifted so they can now stay over, which is nice as a year and half since they stayed is a long time. My youngest grand daughter who is 2 and has never stayed over since she was born is coming for a sleepover on Tuesday with her sisters so it will be a house full, i have had tea(evening meal) orders for sausage, mash and beans and as me and my sister like it thats what i shall cook. Me and my sister go on a boat trip along the river today so i will have my camera with me to get some photos. Have a fab day all..

Sounds like you are having fun with the grands. It's about time, right! A few busy days for you coming up. UK is confusing with restrictions. They went from lifting them to putting them back to lifting them in ten days I think. Cruise ships went crazy, changing ports and now can't change them back because of the expense. Wish this delta would take a long walk off a short pier.

Hello all. Been busy here and short on internet while camping in Kansas. Hot spot worked great. Had 5G there but the phone almost had to be on charger as it took a lot of battery otherwise. We have unusual temperatures right now as the smoke from the western wild fires coupled with a cool front have dropped our temps to the low 80’s instead of high 90’s. Mornings are great waking up to high 60’s but this will not last long. We soon go back to our normal highs. I have been doing outside chores while it is cooler. Took all the diseased leaves off the tomato plants yesterday.and burned them in our fire pit. And checked the squash plants for Today I will try to finish taking things out of the little old shed and get them into the new big shed. Might even get it painted before the heat comes back Thursday. Silk the bird is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Welcome Amy. I live in the Ozark mountains near the famous Branson. No human children but three four legged fur kids. I say they take after their dad with hairy legs and chest. Polly, sad to hear about you having a stroke. Sounds like your doing good though. Just getting home is a good thing. Huronna, all the flights being canceled, I hope your upcoming trips are joy affected. Flagryl. My doctor says exercise in any form is good for body and mind. Keep up the at least trying. Well I have to set up and about. Early appointment for my one year check up on knee replacement. All is going fairly well with that knee.

Hard to believe it's been a year since you knee replacement, that means it's been over a year since my arthroscopic. Glad we are doing so well LOL Went for my pedicure this morning. Decided on something different. I bought a new color and though I usually get dark on my toes, I don't on my fingernails. I figured I would be doing miy nails this coming weekend for my trip on the 15th, so brough her the same polish to see what she could do. How do you like it?

Huronna that colour and style on the nail is really nice, i hope you get to go on your trips and enjoy them.. Yes the restrictions keep changing it is crazy, i still wear a mask in shops and crowded places, after going a year and half or more with no illness i want to keep it that way, we tested negative again with the lateral flow tests so thats good.
Whispy.. hope the appointment goes well for your review on the knee replacement and progress continues ..
HI Amy, Polly, Silk and Flagryl hope everything is all good with you, enjoy your week..

Huronna I really like that polish shade. I'm intrigued with the designs you girls have on your nails. Nice to see you Ottie. Whispy I can't believe it's a year already since your knee surgery. Tilly good news on the health situation. I have been very under par this week but am hoping for better. I plan to go out to lunch with friends next week if I am up to it. I like nothing better than to get dressed up and a good restaurant. We are lucky enough to have one just two streets away on the water. Got all my auction tags done plus members' choices. I might watch a movie. Best wishes to everyone.

Goodnight everyone. Grassy you make things nice for us by just being here. Good news of your new job. Very sorry about the fibrosis. You've really had a lot to deal with. Glad you like the King Parrot. They are like jewels in the sun. Your auction entries are wonderful. Hi there Ottie! Huronna I missed where you told us it's a year since your knee procedure. How can I be getting older so fast. Where did that year go. By the way, how is the knee. My week is difficult. My heart is causing problems and so far I have resisted the ER( I hate hospital ) but not sure what will happen if things do not improve. Animation Lessons is my life saver. It takes my mind off it all. I made a marathon effort and got to my hair dresser today. Greg and his wife are wonderful. They come to take me in from the car and have made a ramp for me. It certainly lifts my spirits to have a smart hair do.

Well I just put in my travel alerts and hold mail for our trip starting 15 Aug. I know it's early but I do things while I remember them. Only have one credit card for foreign travel, no foreign transaction fees. So put that in for Sept's trip also.
Then I started hearing this beep beep...looked at my alarm system and it's the smoke alarm that communicated with ADT the alarm system. So the battery needs changing. I guess it's probably time. Going to have to call my neighbor to see if he can help us since the ceiling is really really high. Have to make sure we have the right battery first. I was hoping the company would do a service call, but they said it would be about $200 just to come and they had no idea when an appt would be available. Yikes! Definitely do not want Joe up on the ceiling as it's one of those 15 ft high ones. Well maybe only 12 or 13 LOL called cathedral ceilings, nice to have until you have to get to them LOL

My knees are both good. Hip is not hurt at all. They think the problem of left leg weakness is in my lower back. MRI scheduled for next Tuesday at 3:30. The lady that set up the MRI appointment mentioned she had back surgery and when I asked if it helped her she said no comment. I took that as a no. Everyone I know who has had surgery has had more pain than before. Then a podiatrist is supposed to set up appointment for my hammer toe that is allowing the middle toe to curl under it and now walking on that toenail which is very painful unless I have memory foam insoles in my shoes. Can’t go barefooted which is my favorite way to go around the house. I had went to one a few years back but they would not do anything with the hammer toe. Compared to the rest of you I am doing great health wise. Huronna a hold on mail takes a couple weeks before it is actually held so good that you got it sent in now. No one ever said the post office is quick. Also did you know your leaf filter gutters are guaranteed not to clog. They will come clean them so the work correctly if you call them. No cost to you either. If it is found to be their fault they refund your money. We are on a rural route and some times the mail is not delivered to our mail box until 7:30pm. The mail box is 1/4 mile from the house and we can not see it from the house. I called the post office several times suggesting they lighten his route because it is wearing him out delivering such a huge route. They must have listened because now it comes between 1 and 5:30 pm. Still make many trip just to see if it came. There has been some neighbors that mail was taken out of their box before they got to it. If we order from Amazon Alexa tells us when the package is delivered. I can not afford to order than much lol.I break my orders down to one item per order per day since we have prime. But many days neither Sandy or I get packages. We live on a dead end road and toward the end of the road is some hill people that deal in drugs. We have lots of cars coming and going all the time. When the Sherriff tries to catch the dealers someone must be calling them to tip them off because everything is cool when law enforcement gets there. There are a lot of stories about how we know but won’t go into all of them. John parked a van out by the end of the driveway with a for sale sign. Someone cut the catholic converter off of it one night. The Sherriff will not even talk about our road. I went to tell him about the inside bank of a curve washed away to the point the road was dropping. He said he don’t talk about our road. I said it is only about safety as I did not want a school bus sliding or overturning on the curve and hurting or killing the children since it is several feet down the the bottom. Then he listened. The county has sort of fixed it for now at least. We are going to tear out a ramp Jerry built for loading trailers and we will dump the rocks over that bank too. Jerry has been working on the motor home. He replaced air conditioner covers, resealed the vents and end caps and yesterday he put a new skylight in the bathroom. The previous owner had replaced the broken one with plexiglass with silicone. That stuff will not stay sealed but is a mess to clean off. He worked on it all day but now we have a nice skylight. I think a few more seams to seal and ge is ready to re-coat the roof. I have to clean out the bath tub from the stuff that fell in when he cleaned up the skylight area on the roof.my little shop vac is in the bedroom closet and with the slide pulled in I can not get there easily so waiting for him to finish before I slide it out and clean. Been nicer here with the cool front and smoke from the far western wild fires. I canned tomatoes yesterday. I have more to can but might not finish today. I get more tomatoes every day. Today is actually laundry day. You all have a great day. I am going to get my body moving now.

I've put a hold on mail lots of times. On time when we didn't have some one staying in the house we had a neighbor collect it HA HA, he had two big boxes full of mail, most junk he could have just trashed. Ou's is pretty good, I could have waited until 48 hours before if I had forgotten,
How did you get in whispy, you mentioned that you were not getting in her for a while.
Well I put in a couple of quick bids at the auction and now I'll go get my hair cut and a little grocery shopping.

Hello all... I have been working to try to reduce the hip and knee pain from the damage done not moving much for months, but it's a dicey game as every new thing sets it off. Resorted to serious pain meds last night and got some sleep. Sleep is normally hard to get with the pain - as I'm sure many of you know. In the good news department, it looks like the sale of mom's house will go through in a month or so. I have to empty her garage by then - one reason I have been working so hard to get stronger and more mobile.
Huronna; the auction looks grand, thank you for all you do. I love your nails; that looks like freehand art. For awhile there was only airbrush on nails. I thought freehand a lost art. I used to do nails and skincare when I married Steve. I had a little business. One of my specialties was painting freehand designs. #000 brushes were my friend then. I hope you have a fun, safe and easy trip. Oh! Cathedral ceilings and light bulbs... vivid memories of two homes concerning such. Buena Suerte!
Whispy... your situation of mailbox and road just dropped my jaw. How worrying for you. Not to mention smoke from fires, back and hammer toe. whew! They took a piece of bone out of a toe that was distorted for me - it''s a bit shorter and little stiff, but I can walk barefoot. Can that be done for you? I love the RV talk... Steve just replaced AC covers on our RV, he did the skylight last year. I want to get out in it but he says something needs to be fixed. He has not yet told me what though, lol. There's always something.
Welcome Amy Jo. Time is a big factor in tagging. I hope you find some and have fun. Be sure to check out all the tutorials here. They are amazing! oh; I'm 68, Covid Long Haul, and live in SE VA w hubby and cats.
Oh, Polly... I'm sad about your stroke, but so glad to see you posting even a little bit. Best wishes in your recovery.
Grassy... holding your hand about the fibrotic change and hoping the therapy helps. Fluid is such a burden in the wrong places. Hang in there. Congrats on the new job too... Of course they are nice to you. You are super nice; what else can they do? I love the King Parrot Silk, and I am glad you have such jewels to focus on to take your mind off your poor heart. I hope it settles. I have fingers crossed for you.
Flagryl... Is it me or are all your auction sets themed on dreams? What are you dreaming of these days?
I know I have missed people, Mary, Roni, more, but I must dash. I hope everyone has a good day in some way. Gotta dash... HUGS and waves~~~
