I talked to Anita last night, seems the wifi in her place is really weak and every time she tried to get on line, it won't hold long enough to connect. Her data on her phone is limited so even with a new phone, that is next to impossible. She went on an excursion with some lady friends the other day, and left her phone in her apartment. And of course that was the day I was trying to call her and was getting really nervous that I couldn't reach her. She went on a quilting expedition and actually met someone she had dealt with on line year ago. She had a really enjoyable time.
I'm hoping that she will be able to get back on line soon.

I'm glad Anita's doing well and has met some new friends. Too bad about her computer.
I had no idea FB did that to regular people. Sooooo sad.

Whispy, I had thought you appealed because you had said you got 7 days, but you were out in 24 hours, so I wondered if you had appealed or something. My situation is a friend had posted a meme about Tesla's self-driving cars and how they would be safe because even blind people could drive them. The post was made on February 22, 2018. Facebook Community Standards claims I posted the same thing on June 21, 2021 at 4:17 a.m. (when I was sleeping) and they thought I was suicidal so they offered me resources for suicide prevention. If you look at my posts I was off line there for 7 days and not a minute sooner. I found no way to appeal which made me very upset. I can not post any items for sale for 30 days. Time is almost up on that too. I have a really nice tiller that I need to sell and it will be past planting season. Now my question is how can I make a sock account and keep all my friends and photos? I was looking through our photo book from 1998 Hawaiian vacation and found a photo I had forgotten about that is me 20+ years ago Attachment DeletedGot the motor home to the shop yesterday after waiting for a wrecker to show 5 hours after the appointment for it to arrive and pay $157.50 extra over insurance coverage. This morning the sho called going to cost between $4,300 and $4,500. They had the parts and it will be done tomorrow. Fast for getting an RV fixed and out of the shop. Today was 56 degrees when I got up. After breakfast I hoed the squash garden, and ties up my tomato plants. Didn’t get much else dene. It is bed tie. Night night

Good afternoon. Mary, do you have pain where your doctor thinks there is blood. When I had a liver biopsy there was a bleed and it was very painful. You don't need anything else with all you're going through. I hope the massage helps....you deserve some TLC. Flagryl, that is an horrific story of your daughter's father. I can't imagine. It is so very sad. Whispy...what a bombshell !! Great photo. A costly exercise on your motor home. I was expecting a visitor today and after getting out all my best china and silver she phoned two hours before saying she had a migraine. My cleaner let me down this week so Joe had vacuumed and mopped the floors while I gave the kitchen, bathroom etc. a good clean. I was pooped. This is a case of one strike too many. Although we've been friends for years she has done this many times...no more. Left over maple syrup drumsticks for dinner. no cooking...woohoo ! I'd like to know how Lynxs's father is doing.

I think I would have lost patience with that "friend" a long time ago, I think after the second cancellation. Then it would have been peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and make your own HA HA I could never let me hair grow, actually tried once, but looked like a witch..."off with her head" or hair. WOO HOO we are going to puppy sit for 5 days the first week in July, You remember that cute little Howie, the hot dog. Here he is the day of his neutering That's onesie is hysterical

Oh Mary, I hope your surgeon gets that blood drained and your pain gets under control soon. Wow Whispy, look at that long blonde hair...ready for the magazine shoot. Sounds like you'll be rolling soon enough. I'm glad Anita is getting out and about but miss her so hope that internet connections improves. Waiting to hear about the knee surgery. Cute Doxie Huronna, what fun. Silk, I agree w/Huronna. Actually, I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Cut the crust off and go fancy pancy.
We are supposed to get some rain today and the next so hope it damps down the fires. We are not in danger but do have suitcases and go bags along with a list of chores for each of us in case of Evacuation notices. We are signed up for the Red Alerts on our phones in case a fire develops near us. There is a forest between us and 1-40, only 3 miles so if some dim wit throws a cig out or drags some chains that could cause trouble. They've closed the Nat'l forests and put in stage one fire restrictions, no grilling or fireworks [duh] or open fires [double duh]. All construction needs emergency repair permits so no sparks from chain saws or ignition equipment. 2019's big Museum fire was caused when a construction worker's excavator struck a rock and the sparks smoldered and took out 2,000 acres on the northern edge of Flagstaff. We have friends who were evacuated but home was saved.

The smoke from the Rafael Fire is creeping through the woods, visible from my study, and is hanging in the valley and has socked in the Peaks. But, they have designated it a Type I fire so that should bring in the slurry bombers as this fire races up the steep canyon south of Flagstaff. There are multi-million dollar homes to the East, but several miles away now. Hate the smoke, all the windows are locked down. Good thing it's cooler today so praying for this predicted rain.

I sure hope those fires stay away from you. Must be pretty scary now. I remember when GB had to evacuated the Santa Rosa area in CA. Lots of scary stories.Well I was up early this Am and the cleaning ladies came, now since I finally posted a WWO, I think I'll take a little nap, and later go to the gym after rested. Today is sushi Wed, so we'll go to Publix after the gym, so Joe can get his treat, and then I won't have to cook to night woo hoo!

Flagryl, reading your post made me anxious remembering the fires here and thinking we had to evacuate. It's such a frightening thing and we don't want them anywhere near you. I wore my hair long and up for years but now I have it very short. I can't get my arm up to do that now. Wish I could ..I'd look taller. Huronna, lucky you getting to dog sit that lovely dog. We should get photos; yes ?

Update. The fire has grown to 35,000 acres and no rain as predicted today, moved to the east. It's spreading and running up the canyon. Stalled a bit at the rocky bottom. Miles from us and between us and the highway [we are well beyond I-40 through the forest] is the Navajo Army Depot, National Guard training site and munitions storage depot. I don't think they are going to let that fire near those munitions. Type I Mgmt team is here and take charge tomorrow. Smoke dissapated this afternoon but is back now so I don't think we'll open windows, we'll see.

Just listened to a fire manager and he said he thought anyone north of 1-40 is pretty safe, big fire break. Sparks flying across can be damped down. We've never had a big one this close and everyone is in high gear right now.

In the psp doldrums again. Nothing working and to make matters worse I have one of those red blotches on my hand...first time ever...does this mean I'm old ?? Life is so exciting...Joe and I made a huge pot of lamb shanks and barley soup today. Had it with garlic bread. Very cold and dreary...it must be, because Joe had to wear a jacket. Grassy...how are you ?

Happy to see you were able to drop in Angel. I know from your chat thread at your forum, that you have had a zillion health problems. We relish when you can drop in.
Flagryl, how are the fire this morning. Under control I hope. Silk, my skin bruises so easily. it's called senior purpura, (old people's skin), it usually affects people that are slender and there skin gets really paper thin. I can wak up in the morning with a bruise on my arm and what causes it? If I am sleeping and hold onto one arm with my hand, that can be enough pressure to cause a bruise. Or sometimes I know I must have walked into something and not even realized it and another bruise. Luckily they go away quickly. if for some reason I have an itch and decided to scratch it too hard...yup, you got it another bruise. Maybe I should wrap myself in bubble wrap?

So glad you popped in Angel. I hope you are working to resolve your issues, hugs to you.
Good news on the fire, even though as of this morning it's up to 36,000 acres there is much less smoke here as the wind is blowing more easterly and it rained here last night for about 3 hours. Yea. High level mgrs are taking control today w/more resourses, ie slurry bombers. Still 0% contained.
My mom used to get those bruises. So far, I'm good but I do bruise easily. I'm sure it's disconcerting Silk and Huronna. Bubble wrap, the new fashion statement! I get my nails done today and the cleaners are coming to clean our fireplace, fan and chimney. Always good to be on top of that. I am making beef stew in crockpot as it's in mid 70s w/good change of more rain. Yea!

PS Because I was curious and John can read topographic maps, he said we are 18.5 mi [as the crow flies] from the fire today.

So, the farthest housing area south of Flagstaff and 1-40, Garland Prairie has a GO to evacuate, they are just southwest of 1-40. Type I team is doing a backburn south of them to slow the fire, will be lots of smoke. The Sycamore Canyon runs right up to their door and that's where the fire is running. Let's hope this works. We live as the crow flies 4 mi north of I-40 through the forest.
Another irritating thing. An animal got into our garage somehow and has died and we can't find it, terrible smell. I suspect it's a small chipmunk, too much of a smell to be a mouse and the traps still have peanut butter in them. We never leave our garage open [!]

Oh my I know that smell, at least I do now, but there was a time when I had no idea. It was when I was in PR and that small was there and was getting worse. My cleaning lady arrived and immediately she said...you have a dead mouse someplace. Yup we did, we had to sniff it out and where the scent or smell was the strongest, luckily it was under the stove and we just had to pull that our, not dismantle cabinets. Goos luck finding the critter. Or his remains

Ugh Flagryl I know that smell...nothing is so repugnant. Ours was a mouse. When my lovely Siamese cat was alive he deposited a gift in the middle on our doona on the bed. A dead rat. We live in a semi rural area so there were a few around. He'd dragged it way up to the second floor. I guess I am lucky to have had just the one nasty looking purple/red bruise to date but probably can expect more. Glad there is better news regarding the fires and you are safe. So nice to see you Angel. I hope you get to feeling heaps better.

Off to my trainer and then to get my hair cut. Yesterday was eye check and I actually ordered new frames for my driving glasses, both sun and night vision. Because I have to have a prism is them, they are costly. There was a sale, 20% off on first pair and a second pair was 50% off. Total $775. For the past five or more years, I just had lens changed but not frame, but decided needed something new. Well, see you later, Everyone stay safe and Flagryl hope you found your smelly “friend”. And the fires under control

We looked and looked in areas where the smell was strongest, it is hidden. Ugh. The fire has progressed to 39,641 acres but looks like the backburn might work. Still dicey. Fire mgmt team tried to do a FB video update last night but had broadband issues, no surprise. We don't have local tv or any kind of radio channel w/27/7 news. We were able to open windows last night. So glad the #1 team is here. Oh Huronna, new glasses. Yea. I know how costly glasses are. We have vision ins but it barely makes a dent. I will be a candidate for lens replacements because of cataracts but perhaps not this year.

Been hot and dry here. Thought we would get rain like the weatherman keeps predicting but alas no rain. We have cedar forest around us so sure do not want a wild fire. Jerry has really thin skin now. He rubs against things and he don’t even know it but the bleeding tells him. Then he also bruises easily. I went out to motor home today and cleaned and vacuumed while everything is out of it. Now it is ready to start putting things back now.Fixed the curtain rod that allows us to pull the insulated drape across the windshield when we are parked. Jerry got the gap closed that was making it difficult. He is also gluing a cabinet back together that came apart. We decided to let things dry for today. I changed out the Damp Rid things and all fresh now. Air conditioners are on so it will not fill up as fast.I am glad that I can get the same thing as Damp Rid at Dollar Tree. Mirrors are all clean now too. I sort of ignore the mirror closet doors but now they are clean.
Flagryl, praying the back fries helps keep the fire away from you. My dad had a skunk go under his house once. He found a opening had been opened by accident so closed it not knowing the skunk was under there. She had babies under there too. They all died and it took forever to get that smell out of the house. The crawl space under the house was to low to get under to find them. Yuck.
Well I put some potato slices in crockpot this morning. Added pork chops on top. 1/2 cup chicken broth and a can of undiluted Cream of Mushroom Soup on top in that order. Set it to high and it is now done. Going to fix some corn and dinner will be served.

Woo Hoo Whispy, you are almost ready to hit the road...wonderful. Dinner sounds great, I'll be right over.
Well, the mystery is solved. We went out again to investigate the smell and John pulled his car out, hadn't driven it in over a week. Smelled. So we started looking under the car to see if an animal had lodged itself. No. Then he opened the back seat and discovered the tuna steaks he bought over a week ago had fallen under the drivers seat in the back. Oh what a smell. They had been frozen, a dozen or so, in heavy plastic and oh dear the smell was so bad he had to move our garbage can away from it's spot next to the garage out by the wood pile after he threw them in there. I cleaned and sprayed his car and the back mat and we have it outside now with the windows open. I remember when he came home last week bragging about the great tuna steaks he bought at Sprouts and I was thinking, since we can't grill because of fire restrictions, I'll just get out my cast iron and we'll be good. Can't believe he missed them when he brought in all the groceries. Well, duh.
