Over the years we have altered and or added new items.
This year each member was asked to pick their most favorite tag made by any member that was posted in 2020.
It was also requested that they explain why they picked this particular tag.
We will continue to do this each year, so now that you know....keep those eyes wide open.
These tags are in no particular order.

Silk's tags are elegant and you can see she puts a lot of work into them

I would like to choose Milyn's tag because of the amazing animation,
when I first saw it I thought wow how did this person do the lifts etc. great job..
Again everyone does such amazing work creating their tags, this stood out for me..

TOTY: Cool Cat - Silk
The artwork in this tube features very bold spots on the tail that draw focus. The artist has balanced that with fine details in the face, upper body, hand and foot; but it's very easy to lose that balance when placing the tube on a background. Creating a tag that augments that balance is an impressive feat. Overall; the background is finely detailed and delicate, utilizing cold, hard lines and pinpoints to create a "steel" presentation case (cool material for a cool cat.) In opposition to the metallic tones, the central softly shadowed warm area (which resembles a moon) pulls the eye and I am drawn to the subtle Yin/Yang effect achieved by placing the tube where the tail curls into that opening. This spot is mesmerizing and the eye will return to it because of the action of the tag. The animation of the outside of the tail is pivotal. No matter where the eye discovers that animation, the action "tosses" your focus off onto the face of the tube. Because Silk (wisely) elected to not animate eye or mane, focus is drawn down to the bracelets, along the elegant back and over to the vulnerably pink toes - and the delicate font chosen for the signature. The precise lines of the capital letter are echoed in the subtle leaf and line embellishment at top center. This pairing serves to draw attention to the understated tag title. And understated is perfect, because everything about this elegant tag is subtle. The effect is calming; repeated circuits of the elements will be made by the viewer enjoying the carefully crafted action and encompassing background. This tag has a balanced uniformity between stasis and motion that gives the beautiful work of the artist center stage and helps the viewer to admire every bit of the artwork in the tube

Silk's tag from your Whatever Challenge
As soon as I saw this tag I loved it. The frame is gorgeous! The colors are beautiful.
The water animations is perfect! The image makes me feel like I am either walking into fog or a storm.
Is that a mountain with snow on it? It's all kind of a mystery which makes it even more beautiful.
Mary's Pick
Well this was hard! My eyes kept getting drawn to Grassy's hot chocolate tag.
I don't know if it was the vibrant red of the mug of the many animations that seemed to be going on everything I saw.

Huronna's tag is such a magnificent creation.
Such sentiment, inspiration and feeling behind the entire creation.
It definately brings a tear to the eye.
Silk's Pick
I had no trouble at all in choosing my tag of the year. It's Huronna's exclusive tag for me.
I am touched that she would do this for us putting so much thought into choosing and designing
just what each member would love, proving that she knows us well.
Mine is White Christmas. An exquisite tag in every way. The artist Anna Dittmann is my favourite and the tube is
one of her most beautiful made even more so by Huronna's creativity. The animation is subtle and perfect for the tag.
The sparkle on the eyelids adds a touch of glamour. The Christmas tree is beautiful blending with the lovely background.
This tag gives me joy.
Arbee's Pick
I have picked this one from Flagryl in March.
It is hard to describe why but my reason is that it is so simple yet so complex at the same time.
And it is thoughtfully composed.

Huronna's Piano...I've played piano all my life from the age of 11 so this set was perfect for me.
The underwater on/around the keys is just enough to create the key movement.
The red/grey/black is so eye catching and is one of my favorite color combinations.
There is enough of the grey/black to cut the brightness of the red.
A little movement on the earrings makes this such a beautifully perfect tag.
Margie's Pick
Believe in Miracles by Silk.
This set is everything to do with the miracle of what Christmas is all about.
The Christmas tree, the fawn, Christmas decorations and the believing in Miracles.
Christmas time is a time to reflex on memories and Jesus birthday.
So that's being say I love this set.

I selected Huronna's tag because it is so adorable!
I love the beautiful, gorgeous sets by made by several of our members.
But my crazy self is drawn to comical, animated critters that just make me smile and inspire me to improve my own skills.
Flagryl's Pick
Over this past year, Huronna has created some outstanding tags creatively designed with complex animations.
However, Huronna's Atilla "Go Away" tops the list.
It has everything from sparkling whiskers to perfectly arranged word art AND scrolling newspaper message.
So timely for COVID, Scat 2020 is perfect text with stop sign element accompanied by welcome 2021 and a bull to symbolize strength.
It's arguably one of her best, just brilliant, and therefore deserves to be highlighted as the Outstanding Tag of the Year!
Grassy's Pick
My Vote for Tag of the Year is our Christmas Tree Tag.
Our tree was decorated by all the taggers and animators around the board.
And all the non-taggers here are such a great presence on here.
Our board would not be the same without EVERYONE's participation and presence.
Everyone at Animation Lessons makes it a fun place to be, and just one person missing would make it not quite the same.
I love all of you! Thank you all for being here!
WOW! What a collection of 2020 wonderful tags.
Many were made recently, but a few were from way back in the year.
I think this will definitely be a new AL tradition.
