1. Use the provided WordArt or create your own [using the same words] to create a tag or forum set for yourself another member. 2. Use a tube, scrapkit or photo and credit appropriately. 3. Animate. And tell us what you did. I'm going to give you step-by-step instructions for those who want to learn more about the process and layering. This is off the top of my head so read between the lines, lol. In PSP, I duplicated my dragon twice and on the first duplicate I used the warp brush push tool to push up the back of the dragon and move the end of the tail down. On the second duplicate, I used the warp brush push tool to make my dragon blink half, pulling the eye lids down. I duplicated that layer then created a oval disc using selection tool and then filled with contrasting color to put over the eyes for the closed layer. I duplicated the half blink layer I moved the paws with the push tool moved it below the closed eye layer. Saved as a .psp file. When I opened in AS and animated, I duplicated the original image, raster 1, for 15 frames. Then duplicated the frame where the back was raised 4 times for 5 frames. Then copied frame one or raster 1, then the half blink, closed eye, half blink, for Total 24 frames. Saved my dragon as an mng file. I copied the decos in psp and duplicated for 4 layers then applied Xenofex constellation, clicking on Random Seed for each successive layers for a different placement, saved as a psp file. I like to use these settings for a close sparkle. In PSP, I also used the freehand selection tool to separately cut out the tree branch, the cat tails and the grass. For each, I copy and pasted into Animation Shop where I applied Effects/Image Effect/Underwater. Custom: Apply refractive distortion: sunlight intensity 1, water depth 1. 2 waves. One small 88 degrees, one longer and slightly to the right 90 degrees. Play around with the arrows for the movement that suits you. I selected 24 frames for the effect. Effect length 1.9 sec, Frames per sec 13 fps. You will end up w/25 frames each time you apply the image effect so be sure to delete the first frame. Additionally, I cut out the green leaves, but used Sunlight Dappling in Underwater with lots of small arrows, about 16 for sunlight intensity and water depth. You'll have to play with the number for correct lighting. Again selected 24 frames. To assemble the cut out images, Ctrl A to select all frames of the individual images, copy. Clicked on the dragon, Ctrl A to select all for dragon image of 24 frames, and click paste into selected frame positioning each of the cutouts in place. Save the final product as the dragon mng file. Now, back in PSP merge all layers of your background except for the dragon and the deco layers, in other words the images you have taken into AS. Copy/Paste and into AS. Duplicate 23 times for total of 24 frames. Open up the deco image of 4 layers, Ctrl A to select all, Copy, Paste after the last frame until you have 24 frames. Ctrl A to select all, copy, go to the background frames, Ctrl A and paste into selected frames. Then, go to dragon image of 24 frames, Ctrl A, copy. Click on the background frames. Paste into Selection positioning between the decos. If you want to try this and get stuck, my PM me with any questions and I'll help you out. Attachments:wafgchal_fg620.pspimage (53.62 KB)

I tried to find a grumpycat-ish tube to use but didn't see one that looked grumpy enough LOL I added underwater to the what I think of as a pineapple stem and the warp brush on the eyes and beak

Silk, I certainly don't see you as animation challenged. There are only so many steps because I animated so much. You already do the underwater and the noise. And, you've done blinks. So, you've done those steps. It only looks like a lot once you write them down. Maybe I'm just too wordy, that would be true.

Oh Silk, what a marvelous tag...and you used the warp brush. I love your blink and mouth movements, just perfect. Anita is going to love it, beautiful tag set! And Arbee, you amaze me with your script. I'm going to have to save and analyze what you did. How did you do that? Love the wall, and yes we do need to hope for the best!!!

I'll come back later with what I did, time to get off the PC
Ok , I picked this image because Mary had mentioned something about grumpy cat, I knew that Eric Proctor and Thresh The Sky had them, and picked up Mary’s hint. Found quite a few and looked to see what I could animate and this was the one. first I cut off her wand and her wings, on the wand I just made a bunch and moved them to paste later. I used the deform on the wings, trying to make them look like it would be a lazy flight or maybe even so bad she couldn’t get off the ground. The flying sparks had ten frames, and I wanted those to start when the wand was fully poked out. the message I used different drop shadows to try and make it look a little magical...ha ha. but this grumpy cat can barely stay away to make any magic, just used the push took for the eyes. The background was one of my own, and I didn’t want it to interfere with the image,so I wound up deleting a lot of layers. well I think that about covers it, didn’t use any filters for anything, just the routine cut and paste

I warped his face, cut his tongue and hands off so I could move them around. Added the tongue word art. Not much to it. It's a snag if anyone wants to stick their tongue out. LOL
