Okay I have done a Little research on Corel PSP Ultimate 20 it reflects that outside filters will load better in it as well as other items I have found a place to order with another Company things from a company I have purchased from on items and they have done real well with me . I have ordered Corel PSP20 Ultimate.
I sure hope I have done right LOL I haven't bought ANYTHING from Corel after I got PSPX7 after I got done so bad with them with PSP 9 download .
With this new program I got a free download as well as a DVD so I can reinstall without no problem and the cost was half of what Corel wanted for a upgrade from CorelX7
My biggest problem with Corel X7 was I could never get the filters to load. So I had to go back and forth PSP 8 and X7 .
The big problem begin when I got Corel PSP9.
I bought a download and not DVD or CD so I did not know that there was a limited license to the download that was when the chanced from the wonderful Windows XP to whatever it came to. So I had to buy Corel PSP X7 that was when I got smart and bought the DVD or CD. But then no outside filters would load .
I am not sure when it will be delivered but I think maybe Friday or at latest Monday next week cant wait, Hope it does work LOL Keep your fingers X Hugs

That's one thing I always do.....I buy it with the disc. I still have my PSP8 Jasc, which I use all the time and it is from 2003 or 4. It's been installed on every computer I have had, every lap top and a few computers of other people when I was visitng them for a long period of time. (before I had my laptop) I also have PhotoX2 froom Corel which never worked really well, so the disc sits in a draw. ALso have ProX9 which I do have on my computer, but the only thing I use it for in to convert files that have not been made compatible with older versions( this occurs with many of the tutorials) and also for one filter...radial blur Other than that I open it do what I need and close it. I swear by Jasc PSP8
Even when artists offer tons of images, I always get the CD's
If you are just downloading a program, you can get a glitch, just a slight one can mess things up

Please let us know if the older plugins work with this version, ie Snowflakes and Snowscape. I keep PSP X on my computer for older plugins than won't work on my PSP v4.
I'll be interested to see how you like the new version.

I have PSP7 Anniversary version and PSPX. I won't go any higher. It does all I need. Besides that, I'm not up to learning a new program. LOL

Are you using 32 bit one? If it's 64 bit...plugins won't work in it. Sorry you cannot get plugins to load. Hopefully someone will have an answer for you.
I stayed with PSP9 for all my years until one day Sissy bought me the PSP X8. I hated it and went back to 9, but every once in a while I would open X8 and finally I love it. Now I cannot get my 9 to load.

I still don't understand why people use those updated Corel programs which were basically made for photo manipulation. The good old jasc, ( and remember i still use Jasc 8) have really everything you need....except for radial blur and the ability to convert files that people did not make compatible to older wersons./
My system is 64 bit Windows, and I do have ProX9 corel for those rare times it is needed. I do use the 64-bit one, all the plugins work there also

Check your computer to see if it's 32 or 64 bit, and that will tell you the answer. You do know that some plugins can be copy and pasted into your plugins folder or remain where they are and others need to be re-installed [all alien skin, eye candy, xenofex, snowflake, snowscape, plugin galaxy, nik, etc] right? How many psp versions do you have on your computer?

I agree totally with Huronna, this had been true for many years now. If you are a photographer and use psp for that purpose, then the newer versions are great. But, if you want to use it for what we do...psp 8 is great. I use X and pspv4. I will NEVER go beyond 4. I have a 64 bit computer.

I always thought the newer versions were for photographers, not what we do. I dont know where I got that notion. Lol. But I wont deviate from X and believe it or not, I still open 7 at times if I want to do any kind of glass effect, which I haven't done in a long time.
I agree with Huronna. If it ain't broke dont fix it. Lol. I'll follow along and see what Polly's feelings are about it.

Almost all of my lessons at MA are done in 9 and I love 9. But since I was given X8 then I use it. My disc will not load on my new computer for some reason. I always thought that the plugins won't show up in PSP 64 bit.
I will be waiting to see how this all goes too.

I have a new 64 bit computer and all my plugins show up and work in PSP 8 and X. The only ones that don't show up and work in PSPv4 are snowscape and snowflakes [they say they are not compatible]. I've never had a problem w/plugins. Including the .ffx ones that go into Filter's Unlimited. If you have alot of those, there is a fix when it stops importing, no biggie. I only import .ffx files into FU because the others [.8bf] work in PSP.
As I mentioned a few threads back, some plugin filters NEED to be installed, or reinstalled to work on a new computer. You can install them anywhere, but some of the older .exe files will automatically install on your C drive into Programs. Though if you know your computer, you can circumvent the process in most, tho some not. That's okay but you need to remember the path so you can point PSP to that folder. I like to install all into My Plugins Folder in My Documents. That's why knowing how to use File Explorer is so important, so you know where things are located on your computer and how to get there. That's most of the battle, I think.
And, you need to keep organized and keep the keys for the ones you've purchased [or pirated, shhh] so you have those handy or they will not work.

shhhhhh, hush is the word. Many of that type are now free anyway LOL. My computer is also new, and a 64 bit, and my laptop is new also. Both have JascPSP8 and CorelProX9 on them and all the filters show and work. By the way I just double checked and VDL adrenaline Snowskape and Snowflakes, both work.
