Thrilled to hear from you, Mary, and know you're doing okay! I'm glad he found the hernia and was able to fix that at the same time.

Hi Mary, I am so proud of you and I am thrilled to hear that the surgery was successful... It is probably nicer being home, just take care of yourself and check in once in a while... Still sending healing prayers for you... Much Love

no I didn't take pictures. Was going to have my sister come over and measure me but I hated to ask her for anything else as she does so much for me already.
The Dr told me when he stopped in right before that I lost "a bucket" of weight during my week of liquids. 10 pounds I think but when have I ever lost 10 pounds in a week? If it isn't raining in the morning I plan to go out and walk for a bit.
Finally got to my computer but might not be here too long at a time. The nurse at the hospital questioned me as to why I hadn't pushed my pain pump button..I told her I didn't need it and I didn't know it was there. I have taken about 3 pain pills since I came home Thursday and 2 nausea pills but I haven't gotten sick

Well, not much new here. Still plugging along. I haven't found anything that I am unable to eat besides a mozzarella cheese stick. I think I may have just eaten it to fast and it came back up. Trying so hard to get my protein and liquids in. I think the liquids is the hardest part. Since I am not hungry, it seems I am not thirsty, either. I keep trying though.
I have tried shrimp twice with good luck. Sydnee will be 9 on Sunday (YIKES!!). Having a party here for her on Saturday. have invited several of her friends but nobody except my family has RSVPd. Makes it hard to plan. We are going out Sunday to Texas Roadhouse for her birthday. I am planning to get the grilled shrimp. I can only eat a couple but it will keep me full!
I go back to the bariatric surgeon's office on July 9th so I will update my weight loss then~

Sounds like great progress, keep up the good work and get those liquids in. Believe it or not, I've just graduated off soft foods [mac and cheese, applesauce, gelato] because of the tube down my throat during surgery. I also cannot eat alot, probably more than you tho. I've lost 6 lbs and need to get it back, most of it muscle. You'll get there, keep on rockin'!

Glad things are going well, Mary. Early birthday wishes to Sydnee! I would call the friends to confirm if they are coming to the party. No sense giving yourself something to stress about.
Flagryl, great news for you, too!
