WONDERFUL information. My computer crashed some time back and I finally got it fixed about 3-4 months ago. Filters and plugins have always been my nemesis' and I had only just worked up the courage to take to the battlefield with them again. I'd managed to get a very few functioning when I found out that I could still upgrade to Windows 10. Lo and behold, even fewer were now functioning after the upgrade. What was up with that?! Anyway, I started back at it and was losing more hair than I can ill-afford.
The info here in this post has gotten me further in a few hours than I had gotten in weeks.
THANKS ALL!!

Dest, did you install the Win 7 dlls, all 10. Plus the ones for Win 10. AD has the link for the Win 7 dlls, which I believe you need if you've upgraded to 10. And check out the link at the Zone in Chit Chat Cheryl Haun started, question about psp 8-X Plugins. Dino gives link to the dlls needed for Win 10. Be sure you know if your system is 32-BIT or 64-BIT. I've sent you a PM w/links.

Those are the win 7 dlls which you do need but be sure to get the win 10 dlls if you have upgraded to win 10. Read my post above, thread at zone. Can't post link here.

I had the 10 dll's filed in my SysWOW64 folder long before I upgraded to Win10 a year ago.
That's probably why most of my filters worked when I upgraded.

Thanks for the info Flagryl, Huronna and all others. I am attempting to do what needs to be done. Some of the dlls are still in one file I had on an external drive. I am not having much luck, but today is not a great day for cognitive activity, nor was yesterday. My MS brain is quite selective in what days it will cooperate in recent years and it seems to become less and less helpful as the years go by. I WILL get it figured out. I am not an old stubborn Irish bird for naught.

There's such good info here. I don't understand a lot but I wish I did. I'm going to come back and study. I searched for Plugins in the topic because I'm trying to find one. I wish I could make the little sparkly edges around things that I see on tags... Is it done in one of these plugins? Does anyone know? Thanks!

I think you are referring to Alien Skin Xenofex 2, Constellation setting, it's not a Filter's Unlimited plugin. It's a stand alone you have to install on your computer and then point your PSP to the folder where it was installed.

It’s just a way without plugins that can make interesting animations

Yes, I went and looked. Very nice! I had thought of something similar using drop shadows and/ or resizing... But these are very nice. But I also want to be able to make sequins shimmer like you did on your recent Shakilov Neel dancers tag, and I hope it's the same plugin, lol. I am very fortunate; Flagryl is helping me. TY both!

I use the simple outline method that Huronna posted. I started reading this thread and almost had heart failure when I got to the second post!!! I didn’t realize this thread was years old.

Yes. It is an oldie. I searched for plugins and replied without thinking of any possible issues. Sorry Anita.

Milyn, I am in the airport awaiting flight, so I have time to explain that sparkling movement……you will be surprised. No plug ins. I selected the area of the clothes where the sparkling area was to be. I then took this selected area to AS. What you have right now is the purple clothing with some silver dots. I used the change color in AS touching the purple color and changing it to transparent, sorry no screen shots am on I pad. So what you have left is sort of just the silvery dots and probably a little purple. Take this to PSP and make three layers and do noise on them . Save these three layers as. PSP imagine and when you have your tag finished and have it innAS make the layers in multiple of three and paste the PSP image in its place. Easy Peasy
