I feel so smart and techie! Yay me! I have all my PTU stuff and all my precious FTU things (and fonts!) backed up. I am trying to figure out how to backup the rest of the stuff - like the system itself and the boot, so if I should ever have a major HD crash, I can get it all back from the EHD. I haven't figured out how to do a complete backup yet. Raise your hand who loves to read! I do I do! I am not a very fast reader, but I love reading so much! While waiting for all these files to copy over, I began a book called The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd. I actually read 39 pages today which is incredible for me. So far the book is wayyyyyyy better than the movie. I have only seen a few cases where the movie was better than the book. After Sunday Night Football, our TV station does a show called Minnesota Bound. They talk about all the great outdoor things about Minnesota. There is a sandhill crane sanctuary a few hours away. Sid and I have decided that regardless of what happens on Wednesday, we are going to go see the cranes, and we're going to go see the blue herons and listen to the loons. I am so excited!

I just love your enthusiasm. You are a real joy I love seeing animals in their natural habitat. Or rescues that are now safe and happy. Have a great day.
A few years ago my computer had a HD crash. Had to have a new mother board and all. The only backup I had was on my lap top. But my computer guy said, not to worry, he still would be able to get everything off my dead HD and transfer it to the new one. And he did. Magic I said....nope, he said....just knowing what to do.

Macrium Reflect is an excellent backup software and its free. I have used it regularly and it has never failed me.

I've never backed up my entire system either. When my laptop crashed a year or so ago I just took it to my tech and he did the files rescue.
I am going to check out the link Arbee provided however and see what it is about. Sounds interesting. Thanks Arbee.

I use Windows back up and have 2 ehds. One ehd for the Windows backup and the other for all my folders before the backup which includes all my pictures. on only keep 2019 pic file on my pc. I also use One Drive for all my folders and data, which means when a change is made, the changed file uploads to One Drive. Set up was easy for all, but I'll check out that link Arbee, thanks.
