I received this e-mail yesterday as many of your did also.
I'm Jo Marilyn step Daughter
I want to thank you all for your loving, kind condolences. Marilyn cared for each and every one of you. She touched so very many lives, she was an amazing person, kind and gentle soul. The world needs more Marilyn! We are already missing her dearly. I want you to know she was a very strong warrior woman and fought very hard to stay with us. She would bounce back , supposed to be released then very next day she experienced a set back. It was up & down for the past 6 months.
Finally about 1 weeks before her passing, she said " I'm sorry I can't fight any longer, I'm done."
We filled tables with Marilyn' s crafts, paintings, a chapel she cut out & painted as well as some photographs she took for her Celebration of life service.
The image below is Marilyn's garden. It almost looks fake, but I assure you its real. My dad didn't like any of the images the funeral home offered, then I remember seeing this one while looking through pictures.
Sincerely JoAnna
I will be placing this on her Memorial Page Also

What a beautiful garden. I know she was so proud of it, as well she should have been.
I am missing her very much, but so glad her struggles are finished for her. We fight so hard to stay with those we love, but sometimes the struggle is more than we can handle.
This is a beautifully touching tribute to a very sweet lady.

Yes I did receive the email also, I thought the whole memorial was beautiful... I also adore flowers so I have decided to dedicate my beautiful rose bush to Marilyn...She lives on for me that way and I will never forget her, but now she is in peace, and can only imagine what her garden looks like now...

This is just beautiful. It made me cry, not so much out of sadness, but for the joy that her garden brought to her. Thank you so much for this memory. Marilyn will be forever in my heart. She was a true friend.
