I want to explain this a little before posting the final "new rule".
We have always been very liberal at AL regarding who's permissions we could use, or what site they belong to.
But over the past few months we have encountered numerous permissions listed on other sites that are no longer valid.
A general permission is on where the TOU are clearly written on the site and there is a statement that everything is the artist work or they have made with a commercial license. But many sites still have artists listed as general that TOU can no longer be found anywhere. Many of these artists, Lainey and I have contacted and received group permission from, so they are now considered group permission. There have also been other site group permissions that have revoked or when we have contacted them personally they say their work can no longer be used.
Many sites as you know have been in existence for many years and permission are very very old, and many no longer valid.
To take effect immediately
From October 21st 2016 the date of this post, we no longer allow outside artists permissions to be used here at Animation Lessons unless they are listed on our sister site Angels Design.
We will allow Personal permissions, but before you make a tag with a personal permission you have, you must send me a copy of this permission to keep on list, so there will be no need to send again for any subsequent times you use that artist.
Also please put Personal Permission (or PP) on the tag/s you make using a personal permission.
(An example is Carol Cavalaris, I know a couple of you have her permission to use selected images)
PTU artist tags are obviously fine.
This new rule is for any NEW tags that are made from today onward, existing tags are exempt.
However if an artist goes PTU and does not say old tags made prior to this are alright to use, then these must not be used here.
Of course it goes without saying that AL tubes are fine and all of the links provided here to photos.
Your personal items can also be used.
Scrap kits with correct credits are ok.
Also any site that clearly states their TOU can be used. Such as PSP-tube Depot, Outlaw by Design, Barb Kermis and I'm sure there are many others. The reason these are not listed on AD is that they provide their own tubes.
I'm sure I have not covered everything and there are questions, so please as always feel free to ask I will try to answer in a timely manner, though today is a work day.
