Photos by Dan This week we are going to explore the work of Dan Marquart. Dan has been in Vermont this winter taking care of his sick mom, but has found time to get some beautiful photos. I am also posting some of his works that aren't necessarily winter so you will have a lot to work with. The first one I am posting full size because you just HAVE to see this beauty close up right away. This photo is untouched and has not been enhanced or changed in any way, shape or form. I don't know how he does it, but look at this beauty!! The remainder of the photos are thumbs so click them to get the full size. 1. Copyright goes to Dan Marquart unless another tube needs it, then it will be Photo By: or Background By: 2. Dan allows tubing, which goes to our safe tube collection. 3. He allows slicing, dicing, colorizing, etc. 4. Please animate and remember our prude rule and our blank tag rule. Now go have fun and lets see what pretties you can come up with.

The last one is full size. It didn't get caught in the thumbs for some reason.

Beautiful photos Anita. An excellent way to start off your new challenges. I'll have to put on my thinking cap. Looking forward to what others do with this challenge. Thanks for the photos.

I, too, loved Dan's photo treated w/Topaz Labs which is one of my favorite plugins. So I made another banner:

Marilyn, I love both of yours. I too, was looking hard for the animation on the second one but finally saw it. Very subtle. Thanks so much for the new challenge banner. I need some new ones since we aren't doing weekly, bi-weekly or even tri-weekly challenges anymore. LOL
Huronna, I love that one you used also. That is amazing what you can do with photos like that. That photo jumped right out at me when I saw it. I love how he manipulates his photos.
Flagryl, I am not sure what filter that is. I had never heard of that one before. I know Dan doesn't have PSP or Photoshop, all his work is done on his IPad and IPhone. All I know is his work is to die for. I love the new banner and love how you used the same photo with very different results.
Thanks so much for the snags and playing in the challenge.
I am glad you all like his work.

Anita did you notice that I actually used the snowflake photo. That is the animation under the glass. I made a seamless tile out of it and deleted the outer part and then used kaleidoscope on it.

Well, now I'm very curious. Next time you communicate w/Dan you might ask him what treatment he used on that photo, especially since he doesn't use psp or photoshop. It's really well done.

Huronna, I would have never guessed that was the snowflake photo. I thought it was one of Angelika's renders. WOW, that is an awesome job. I will definitely be sending that to Dan or at least the link so he can see these. He will be amazed.
Flagryl, I will look thru my bookmarks because I think I saved the one where someone else asked about what he uses for his photos. He doesn't sit and work on the computer, he is always on the move. He shows his work in New York also 3 or 4 times a year and he does quite well with selling prints. If I can find the bookmark I will post the link, otherwise I will have to ask him again.
Susy, I love that new banner you made for me. That photo is so pretty. The animation is wonderful and works well with the elegant font. Thanks so much, I have it saved

Y'all were really busy while I was away today.
That's mesmerizing Huronna. I was wondering how you did the sparkles. And I thought that snowflake was one of Angelika's renders, too. Thanks for the snag.
I love the subtle animation on Anita's banner Marilyn.
More pretty banners for Anita, Flagryl and Susy.
I hope to have some playtime tomorrow afternoon.
